A new species of the small water strider genus Microvelia Westwood, 1834, M. minsa sp. nov. (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Veliidae), is described from the Yaeyama Islands of the Ryukyus, Japan. It belongs to the subgenus Pacificovelia Andersen & Weir, 2003. This new species has long been confused with M. kyushuensis Esaki & Miyamoto, 1955, in Japan, but is distinguished from the latter by a larger and more slender body approximately 2.5 times as long as its maximum width, a pair of square gray to grayish-blue markings on abdominal mediotergites II, III, and V, and the male right paramere evenly curved with the apical half twisted.

The damsel bug genus Alloeorhynchus Fieber, 1860 (Hemiptera, Heteroptera, Nabidae, Prostemmatinae, Prostemmatini) comprises at least 50 species worldwide, and seven species have been recorded from East Asia. In Japan, two species, A. (Alloeorhynchus) reinhardi Kerzhner & Günther, 1999 and A. (A.) vinulus Stål, 1864, are currently known. In this study, A. (A.) notatus Distant, 1919 is reported in Japan for the first time. A geographical color variation of A. (A.) vinulus is reported based on specimens collected from Kume Island in the Ryukyu Islands.

<p>小笠原諸島のカメムシ（カメムシ目カメムシ亜目）に関しては，近年になっても相次ぐ新種の発表によって記録種数は増加しているにもかかわらず，2000年以降では昆虫目録が出版されるたびに掲載種数が減少するという齟齬が生じている．これは，各昆虫目録で種を記録した文献の見落としがあったり，種名が未定の種に対する掲載基準が異なったりすることに起因していると考えられ，結果的に種数を巡る現状は混乱していると言える．そこで，これまでに出版された文献を網羅的に精査および整理するとともに，近年追加された種の情報を盛り込んだ小笠原諸島産カメムシ亜目目録を作成した．本目録では25科87種を認めた．このうち25種が固有種であることから，昆虫のなかでは高い固有種率であることがカメムシ相の特徴と言える．15島からカメムシが記録されており，そのうち父島と母島（有人島）はそれぞれ69種と59種であったが，その他の島（無人島）は26種以下であった．グリーンアノール等の侵略的外来生物による生態系への負の影響が続くなか，小笠原諸島における種多様性の解明と保全のために網羅的な野外調査が引き続き必要である．</p>

Picromerus griseus was recorded in Japan for the first time, based on a single individual collected from grasslands around the fields of Ishigaki Island of the Ryukyu Islands, which belong to the Oriental Region. This discovery represents the easternmost record of the species. An illustrated key to the species of Picromerus occurring in Japan is also provided.

A new flat bug species, Nesoproxius kishimotoi sp. nov., from the Oceanian region (Ogasawara Islands, Japan) is described. It is the first brachypterous representative in the genus Nesoproxius. The sexual dimorphism, nymph, and habitat are also described for the first time in this genus. A key to the species of Nesoproxius is also provided.

カメムシ目グンバイムシ科のCysteochila属と他3属の日本産種を分類学的に検討し、13種を認めた。日本でC. consuetaとされていたのはC. chinianaの誤同定であることが明らかになった。Hurdchila lewisiを収容するために新属Limnostatuaを設立し、C. votaをL. lewisiの新参シノニムとした。Physatocheila chiniana, P. consuetaおよびP. eutheniaをCysteochila属からの新結合とするとともに、C. abundantis, P. consuetaおよびP. eutheniaを日本から初めて記録した。

日本・韓国・台湾に分布するオオホシカメムシ科のPhysopelta属を分類学的に再検討し，5種を認めた．そのうちの2種が未記載種と判明したため，台湾のPh. lutaspidataと琉球のPh. fusciscutellataを新種として記載した．残りの3種は既知種Ph. gutta gutta，Ph. parviceps，Ph. quadriguttataであった．Ph. fusciscutellataは，台湾でPh. cincticollisとPh. parvicepsとして知られていた．日本本土と韓国から記録されていたPh. cincticollisと琉球から記録されていたPh. slanbuschiiはPh. parvicepsの誤同定であったこと考えられた．さらに，Ph. parvicepsを中国から初めて記録した．
