強度の強い雨の頻度が増えている。農地に及ぼす影響を調べるため,表面流出の直接のきっかけとなる表面湛水の観測手法を開発した。また表面湛水を引き起こす降雨強度を土壌の吸水特性から評価した。さらに,表面湛水(表面流出)を引き起こす雨の頻度の長期的な変動傾向について検討した。
