黄体内にリンパ管が存在することを、遺伝子および免疫組織化学手法を用いて初めて示しました。黄体内リンパ管は黄体が妊娠黄体に移行する過程においてリンパ管の再構築が起きることを発見しました。3次元リンパ管内皮細胞培養モデルを構築し、胚から分泌されるインターフェロンτがリンパ管新生を直接刺激することを示し、妊娠成立のために黄体内の免疫応答機構が特異的に変化する新しい可能性を提示しました。
