－2℃長期貯蔵球を用いたチューリップの養液栽培を試みた。その結果、培養液温度を制御することなく、園試処方の1/4の肥料濃度で1時間あたり15分の強制通気を行うことにより、チューリップの－2℃長期貯蔵球を用いたチューリップ養液栽培が可能で、教材として利用することが可能であることが示された。

食用花として供されるナスタチューム、ビオラおよびシソについて、強酸性電解水処理によって、食用可部に付着するバクテリアの繁殖を抑制することを試みた。その結果、強酸性電解水処理によって、食用可部に付着するバクテリアの繁殖を数日間にわたって抑制できることがわかった。

ハーデンベルギア挿し木の発根について、培地、温度、日長およびIBA濃度を種々に変えて、その影響をみた。その結果、さし穂を濃度16ppmでIBA処理した後、ロックウールのような通気性の高い培地を用いて、20℃、16時間日長下で管理すれば発根が促されることがわかった。

クリムソンクローバー切り花の観賞期間におよぼすベンジルアデニンの影響について調べた。その結果、切り花活け水1リットル当りベンジルアデニン50mgを処理することにより、観賞期間が延長されるだけでなく、花弁長の伸長や切り花の生体重の値が大きくなることが明らかになった。

ルコウソウ(Ipomea quamoclit L.)の開花に及ぼす日長の影響について調べた。12～16時間日長の短日条件下では開花せず、短日条件によって開花が促進される長日植物であることがわかった。
その結果、適日長が10時間の質的短日植物であることがわかった。 -
