4年生の卒論研究で、奈良時代に鎮護国家のため、中国の「四神相応」の思想に基づき全国に建立された国分寺の地形分析をしました。発掘調査の資料が充実した国分寺23ヶ所の地形を5項目（軸線・山・川・池・道）に分け、「四神相応」の達成度を評価し、国分寺の土地選びの知恵を見出すことを試みました。

真鶴海岸の番場浦海岸では、安山岩の円形～楕円形の礫と海岸の地形が作り出した、波を受けた小石が転がってカラコロと心地よい波の音を発見しました。この音風景は、鳥取県琴浦の「鳴り石の浜」と類似しています。この音の成因と各地の類似事例を把握し、地域活性化につながるネットワークの提案に向けた第一報として発表しました。
